Frontline of Defence

The Coronavirus has revealed how certain careers in our society play a crucial and vital role in protecting us, at the top of this list are the people in white jackets, doctors, healthcare workers and those working alongside them in that field… Of course without forgetting other vital fields that have helped us. Those whose role has emerged and their sacrifices have emerged in this difficult circumstance deserve all our appreciation and respect. The lesson from all this:

– We need to value some careers in our society who, outside the times of crisis, are overlooked and forgotten.

– Civilization today highlighted the importance of areas that have benefit to society that is not vital, and placed on the opposite side of matters those that are vital and necessary for the life of the individual and society … and this must be reviewed.

– We have to direct our compass to “the human being,” because it is the path to a balanced and just civilization whose slogan is mercy and justice. And serving others is one of the finest acts of worship in our religion.

Applause waves for these groups from porches in different European capitals and cities are a beautiful move that has its symbolism and significance, we hope that this will be followed up by decision makers by placing procedures on the ground that will recognize these groups efforts and reward them for their important and vital work done for our societies. We Salute the hidden soldiers holding the first line of defense in this crisis.

In the hadith of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them, that a man came to the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and said: Oh, Messenger of God, which people are most beloved to God? He said: The most loved people to God are the most beneficial to his servants, and the most loved deeds to God Almighty are bringing happiness to the hearts of his servants, relieving them from any type of distress, or paying a debt for them, or saving them from starvation, and if I was to walk and help a brother in need, that would be more beloved to me than observing i’tikaaf in this Mosque (The Mosque of Medina) for a month.
