It’s hard to imagine that many people across Europe are struggling to stay warm in the winter – but that’s the harsh reality. From the homeless forced to sleep out on the streets, others who can’t afford heating, or those who don’t have a winter coat or gloves; shivering days and nights are a reality for far too many in our community.
In this regard, we suggest several ways you help to alleviate others’ suffering across Europe:
- We call on Islamic centres and mosques to open their doors to shelter homeless people.
- We call on Islamic centres and mosques to provide hot meals for those who are in need.
- We call on Islamic centres and mosques to communicate with civil society organisations to offer material or logistical assistance when needed.
- We call on Muslims in Europe to take their initiative by giving direct donations to relief organisations, visiting neighbours especially the elderly and those in need.
Your donations will help give warmth this winter!
Ibn Umar reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to people.”
May Allah reward you greatly.
